What We Do
The Belong Community Project is a project delivering services to the community which complement and enhance the local Early Help offer and demands.
Belong delivers early intervention and prevention services which meet locally identified needs and opportunities for children, young people and their families in Dorking and the surrounding areas.
- To work in partnership with existing local and Surrey wide partners to ensure that our local Early Help offer is the best possible support to children, young people and their families.
- To improve the lives and opportunities of children, young people and their families through sustainable provision of relevant services.
- To help children, young people and their families overcome barriers and find ways to live healthy, successful lives, discovering pathways to reach their full potential.
- To support children, young people and their families to bring about positive change in their lives.
Belong Objectives
- To engage children, young people and their families in positive activities that are purposeful and relevant to the culture, challenges and opportunities that they face.
- To deliver provision across a range of localities in Dorking and surrounding villages, prioritising work amongst those who are living with most disadvantages.
- To work in partnership complementing and adding value to the work of existing cross-sector support services.
- To work within local educational settings as well as in the wider community.
